PROBLEM: |
Mobile Carrier infrastructure traffic backhaul points—positioned on towers or buildings—are critical to “carry” network traffic from individual telephone handset to individual telephone handset. The growing number of bandwidth-intensive mobile telephone services can no longer be supported by T1/E1 leased lines or licensed RF, due to host of factors. Mobile Carriers that do not keep pace and provide adequate infrastructure and network capacity are losing subscribers to competing Mobile Carriers that can deliver not only the latest services such as video clips but fewer dropped voice calls. |

SOLUTION: |
Mobile Carriers pressed for bandwidth and network upgrades are turning to high-speed Optical Wireless solutions from LightPointe. The point-to-point solutions are deployed to replace low-bandwidth single T1/E1 leased lines and licensed RF solutions that require licensing and regulatory processes. The Optical Wireless solutions provide Mobile Carriers with greater control and flexibility of networks, without the recurring costs of leased T1/E1 lines from a Telco intermediary. Mobile Carriers can deploy up to 16xT1/E1 or more of capacity without changing a single Optical Wireless linkhead or paying a Telco intermediary. Optical Wireless solutions are license-free and immune to spectrum saturation found in dense metro areas and rapidly growing international cities where licensed RF compete for airwaves. |
